The Children's Discovery Garden (CDG) is the most exciting project we are doing for the Florida Botanical Gardens 20th Anniversary. We have received overwhelming support for this initiative from the county, our membership and most importantly, the community. It is the only free Children's Garden in Pinellas County and will be available to children of all abilities and ages. The CDG will be a place for hands on fun, natural beauty, learning and creative play for children and parents alike. Illustrating the vital connection between plants, people and nature, this is a true oasis for play, discovery and learning. Now that our Capital Campaign is in the public phase, the time is now to give to make the CDG a reality. The Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation has raised just over $520k and a further $500k matching challenge has been issued by an anonymous donor to help us reach our $1.5M funding goal for the project...we still need funds to help make this a reality.
